Information & Instructions for the Health and Safety of our patients
Information for Patients
Melbourne Ultrasound for Women is an essential clinical service. We treat the safety of our patients and staff with the highest priority so we will continue to apply these rules going forward.
Please understand that we cannot see patients who are unwell with viral, cold or flu symptoms within our practice.
For patients, if any of the follow applies to you, please phone us before your appointment;
experiencing symptoms such as fever, sore throat, coughing or other respiratory difficulties
are currently awaiting the result of a COVID-19 test
Please wait in your car upon arrival at our clinic.
Our staff will call you when the ultrasound room has been sanitised and is ready for you.
Please wait in your car upon arrival at our clinic. This practice is not just a reflection of COVID-19 protocols but also an effort to show empathy for patients inside the clinic who may be having a difficult time.
We ask you to only bring one support person with you to your scan. To protect vulnerable patients, nobody who has cold/viral/flu symptoms or has had contact with known COVID-19 can attend the scan with you.
Unfortunately, children are not permitted to attend ultrasound appointments.
We ask you to take a photo of your referral and email it in advance.
If you are a new patient, you will also receive a link to an online registration form via SMS prior to your appointment.
Our Ultrasound Appointment Safety and Focus Policy is available for viewing upon request.
